Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to IATerm. This Agreement is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Infiniact Co., Ltd (a company incorporated under the laws of Hong Kong, hereinafter "We" or "Company") regarding the use of the IATerm software ("Software"). By downloading or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

2. License and Restrictions

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software on your devices. You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software;
  • Use the Software to build a competitive product or service;

3. AI Features and Disclaimer

  • Tool Only: IATerm acts solely as a terminal tool that accepts the utility of AI tools. We do not integrate any Artificial Intelligence models; all AI features and models are generated by the User's own AI tools.
  • Vendor Independence: Models and algorithms are provided by vendors selected by your AI tool and are unrelated to IATerm. We assume no liability for the accuracy, legality, or safety of any content generated by third-party AI tools.
  • Independent Judgment: You assume sole risk for relying on the Output provided by third-party AI tools and are obligated to independently review any code before application.
  • User Fees: Any API costs, quota consumption, or subscription fees charged by your AI provider for the use of AI features are solely your responsibility. IATerm does not process or forward such charges.
  • Compliance: You are responsible for complying with the terms of service and acceptable use policies of any AI provider you configure. Any consequences of violating a third-party provider's terms are solely your responsibility.

4. Fees and License

Update policy differs by distribution channel; refer to the section matching the version you purchased.

4.1 App Store Version

  • One-Time Purchase: A one-time perpetual license via In-App Purchase.
  • Free Major-Version Updates: After purchase, you continue to receive all feature updates and bug fixes within the current major version at no additional cost.
  • Multiple Devices: License follows your Apple ID and can be activated on multiple Macs.
  • Refunds: Subject to Apple's refund policy.

4.2 Website Version

  • Free and Paid Features: Free features are available without login. Paid features trigger a paywall requiring sign-in via email or Google.
  • Base License: A one-time purchase via our website ("Base License"). Grants perpetual use of the version available at the time of purchase.
  • Update Pass: An optional annual Update Pass unlocks all new feature updates and version upgrades released during the pass period.
  • After the Pass Expires: You may continue using the version available at expiration; bug fixes and security patches will continue to be provided free of charge; only new features and version upgrades require a renewed Update Pass.
  • No Auto-Renewal: The Update Pass does not auto-renew; you must actively purchase it each period.
  • Multiple Devices: License is tied to your email or Google account and may be used within the permitted number of devices.
  • Refunds: Subject to applicable law.

4.3 Common

  • 30-Day Trial: A full-featured trial is available before purchase; no payment method or account required.
  • Introductory Pricing: We may offer limited-time launch pricing at our discretion; the regular price applies afterward. Pricing is shown in the App Store or on our website at the time of purchase.

5. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership

All intellectual property rights in IATerm, including code and design, belong to Infiniact Co., Ltd. The code, scripts, and local configuration data you create through IATerm belong to you.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use IATerm only for lawful purposes and only to access computer systems that you own or have explicit authorization to access. You agree NOT to:

  • Access, probe, or scan any system without authorization;
  • Use IATerm to conduct unauthorized security testing or intrusion;
  • Use IATerm to distribute malware or facilitate any illegal activity;
  • Use the Terminal Assistant to generate content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

IATerm is a general-purpose SSH client. You are solely responsible for how you use it. Violations may result in termination of your license without refund.

7. Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute arising out of this Agreement shall be submitted to the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) for arbitration.
